Hello, everyone. Welcome to my blog, A Healthy Dose of Health Information. The purpose of this blog is to provide you with evidence-based information on a variety of health topics. As a librarian (you can learn about my health sciences library background on my website’s About page), I know there is far too much misinformation on the internet, particularly health misinformation, so I want to provide you with a credible information outlet. I plan to post one new topic each month. If there is something you would like to see covered, I am always open for suggestions.
Please keep in mind I am not a physician, nurse, or healthcare provider. What I include on this blog is not meant to be, and should not be used as, a substitute for medical advice. I will not attempt to offer any kind of diagnoses or guide your health decisions in any certain direction. What I will offer is credible information you can use to learn more about health. My articles will have citations and, whenever possible, link directly back to the original sources of information. I also strive to use free consumer health resources whenever possible so the original information is easily accessible to the general public and is easy for people without medical backgrounds to understand.
If you’re ready to learn more about health, check back in October for my first official health content post. You can subscribe to my blog for updates so you don’t have to check back each month.
